Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Conduct Weekly Ministerial Reviews from Tihar Jail: AAP

Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently in Tihar jail, plans to conduct weekly meetings with two ministers to oversee departmental progress, as announced by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 and subsequent judicial custody, Kejriwal aims to remain actively involved in governance.

AAP's National General Secretary (Organization), Sandeep Pathak, revealed Kejriwal's strategy to review departmental operations and provide guidance to ministers from his jail quarters. The move signifies Kejriwal's determination to stay engaged in governance despite his confinement.

Authorities at Tihar Jail have confirmed the inclusion of ministers Atishi, Kailash Gahlot, and Saurabh Bharadwaj on the list of authorized visitors permitted to meet Kejriwal twice weekly.

Pathak also relayed Kejriwal's directive to AAP MLAs to intensify their grassroots engagement, addressing citizen concerns and compensating for his absence by doubling their efforts.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal's legal challenges persist, with the Supreme Court yet to provide interim relief regarding his arrest in a money-laundering case related to an alleged excise policy scam. The Enforcement Directorate is expected to respond by April 24, while Kejriwal's judicial custody has been extended until April 23 by Delhi's Rouse Avenue court.
